Predictions Canada - US Border On the record: pending

I See Short-Term Border Restrictions Coming for Ontario

This one has not happened yet. That is the point. I am writing it down today, October 1, 2026, with the date on it, so that when it happens you can check the timing yourself.

What came through

I live in the Niagara region. The border is part of daily life here: people cross for work, for family, for a quick trip to Buffalo. So when this picture came through, it landed close to home.

I saw the border between Ontario and the United States tightening. Not closing, tightening. A short, sharp stretch where crossing gets harder for ordinary people, and then it eases again.

What I put on the record

Within the next six weeks, I see new border restrictions affecting Ontario. They come out of a dispute between President Trump and the Mayor of Toronto, and they come quickly.

It is short-term. Two to four weeks, and then it passes. Business and commercial traffic keep crossing the whole time. This is a squeeze on people, not on trade, and it does not last.

I do not share predictions to prove anything, and I would never claim to be right every time - spirit is not a scoreboard. I simply describe what comes through, exactly as I receive it, and I let the outcome speak for itself.

The picture, piece by piece

  • When: within the next month and a half, so before the middle of November 2026.
  • How long: two to four weeks, then it eases.
  • Who still crosses: business and commercial traffic keep moving. The pressure falls on everyday travel.
  • Where it comes from: a public clash between President Trump and the Mayor of Toronto, with Ontario feeling it at the border.

Why I am saying it out loud

With the Spain call and the Bitcoin call, people saw the result first and the prediction second. That is backwards. From here on, every prediction goes up the day it is made, with the date on it, before anything happens.

If this comes true, the date at the top of this page is the proof. If it does not, this page stays up anyway. Keeping score honestly means keeping the misses too.

Keeping score, honestly

I keep my predictions simple and in plain sight - the call, and what happened.
