You're probably here because you lost someone, and something small happened that you can't quite explain. Maybe you felt them in the room. Maybe their song came on at the one moment it couldn't have been random. This page won't tell you what it means. It's just what I've learned from sitting with people in grief for over 15 years - the signs they describe to me most often, and how I think about them, gently.
Common signs people describe to me
None of this is proof of anything. It's simply what comes up, again and again, when I talk to people who are grieving. In my experience, these are the ones I hear most.
Dreams that feel different
People often tell me the dream felt "too real" - clearer, calmer, more vivid than an ordinary dream. In my experience, it's usually these dreams, not the strange or chaotic ones, that people remember years later.
Their song, right when you needed it
A song plays on the radio, in a store, at a quiet moment, and it's the one. People describe the timing as what stays with them - not just that it played, but when.
A smell with no source
Their perfume, cologne, cigarettes, a specific food - there one moment, gone the next, with no explanation. I hear this one often, usually described as sudden and brief.
Lights or electronics acting up
A lamp flickers, a phone screen turns on by itself, a light switches off and on. People tell me it's the timing again - it happens right when they're thinking of their loved one, or talking about them out loud.
Feathers, coins or small objects
A feather on the doorstep, a coin in an odd spot, an object showing up somewhere it has no reason to be. People describe finding these in places they'd already checked.
Birds or butterflies that linger
Not just a bird passing by, but one that stays - on a windowsill, near a car, at a graveside. People tell me it's the way the bird behaves, calm and close, that feels different from an ordinary visit.
Feeling them in the room
A sudden sense of presence, a warmth, a feeling of not being alone. This is one of the most common things people describe to me - not seeing anything, just knowing, for a moment, that someone is there.
Hearing your name
A voice, clear as day, saying your name, when no one else is around to have said it. People usually tell me this happens once, briefly, and stays with them for years.
Repeating numbers
The same numbers, over and over - on a clock, a receipt, a license plate. Often numbers that meant something to the two of you: a birthday, an anniversary, an address.
A sense of peace that arrives suddenly
Not every sign is dramatic. Sometimes people describe a wave of calm landing out of nowhere, right in the middle of a hard day, and it's that shift itself that feels like the message.
How I understand it
I tune into consciousness and share what comes through, honestly and unscripted. In a reading, that usually means names, descriptions, and details about your loved one that I couldn't otherwise know - what people in my work call the "evidence" part of an evidential reading. It's a different thing than a single sign at home. A sign might bring a feeling. A reading is where I try to bring specifics. I can't promise a sign is a message, but I don't dismiss what people feel either. I simply share what comes through in a reading, honestly, and let you decide what resonates.
How do I know if a sign is real or a coincidence?
You probably won't know for certain, and that's okay. What I hear most from clients is that it's less about proof and more about a feeling of peace when it happens. Trust how it feels to you. If you want more, a reading is one way to get specific names and details, not just a feeling.
